Hi my name is Lisa Marie from Sunderland Shaun Art Gallery. I'm a graduate student from Sunderland University. I graduated with a first class honours degree in fine art in July 2008.
I am currently studying to be an artist. I had a creative block for almost three years and could not pick up a paint brush without getting upset. Ive recently grown to like it again. Then thought what have done abandoning painting, but it didnt abandon me its been my best friend all along. I really love paintings have all my life. These are paintings I completed during my degree. I will be updating this blogg very soon with images of paintings I've completed over the years. More about me and galleries
I've visited Galleries all over Europe the above image is from a postcard of Monet's gardens Giverny Paris it is my favourite place in Europe. I went there when I was 19 and just fell in love with the place. There are things that I just wont throw away leaflets galleries ive saved from all over Europe and further afield. The Grimaldi Gallery Berlin is another of my favourite galleries. When I go through the draw of leaflets i will add more from Monets gardens and other Galleries ive been to, to this section. I have many it will take me a while to upload some the images to blogger. I've done work experience as an art conservator and ive worked as an art therapist assistant with a class of autistic young adults, I did this for a year from 2009-2010 then in 2010 I joined the local gallery as an art conservators assistant. Here are some of the images when i was helping the conservator guild a frame what I was doing was helping the conservator Anna fill in all the cracks with special chalk and glue I cant really remember the name of the mixture. Decided I still wanted to be a painter and after my works experience period was up I started painting again. These were post cards from museum d,orsay Paris and a floor plan of the gallery I kept lol :D.
