Working on final piece ''Gold Fish Bowl''

Today is the 26th of July 2011. Hi followers here is an update of what ive been up to today. You can see here Ive added the fish tank almost. You can see I had a bit of a problem with all the lines so I used green marker to make the bricks stand out. Of course they will all have to be painted, every brick. The painting is almost like a mathematical design or equation all the lines had to be perfectly straight or it looked inaccurate. Some of it has not been easy to draw. But you can now see how this had progressed from my first sketchbook design. The sky looks amazing if only I can get the rest of it to look accurate too. Catch

Look at the sky in the painting people. This is what I did today, i feel im ready to add the real colours now. Today I used large tubs of artists quality paint added a layer of cadmium red to the sky and brightened up the yellow clouds with cadmium yellow hue, i let it dry then added another layer of varnish to let the light shine through. This sky is juicy its like a fruit salad. And today I got really excited when i found I didn't have to change any of my perspective lines except one. When I go into the studio tomorrow I cant wait to start on the brickwork, I feel ive finally reached that point I felt like Monet today with all the tubs of spectrum paint. You can see where ive drawn in most of the perspective lines, I just keep putting more colour on it. Tomorrow the real colour goes on. :o)

Guys ok so I'm not exactly wonderful at taking photo shots and i cant get the words right on my page but this painting is straight in real life LOL. You can see the improvement a little. I didn't do much today because I had a very bad headache but I continue to work on getting the perspective accurate. The sky is as vibrant now as im going to be able to get it now I   think. Its the image at the very top of the page that ive done today.

Here is the start of the final piece. What I actually did yesterday was varnish parts of the sky to make the colours brighter. I'm working on getting the perspective of the buildings as accurate as possible before I draw in any detail. I knew that there were parts of the prep drawing that weren't correct I'm working on putting those right in the final piece. Since i added the buildings today I have made the roofs in the background slightly taller it was also not quite straight, in this image yes but I've already corrected that. You can see how the perspective in this image is not correct compared to the above in the building on
the left hand side.

You can see at the top of the page started on the colours, you can now see where I have painted in some of the detail, using my colour charts I made last night, on home page. I'm loving the sky its so juicy its a fruit salad LOL. You can see where ive added some detail using shades of violet and blue. You can see the colour chart I made last night and the about 10 different shades of pink I just made. Look at my palette and all the colours isn't it great I felt like Claude Monet today :oD
